COVID testing on campus

Coming back from winter break, we are encouraging students to get tested at home before returning to school, especially if they have had symptoms consistent with COVID-19.

Both school sites now have the ability to test students for the purpose of modifying quarantine for close contacts or when students return from being out sick. If your child is out sick they can return to school after 24 hours of being fever/symptom-free. With a signed consent form, students can complete a rapid antigen test, get Covid test results, and return to class within 15 minutes! This will reduce or eliminate the time students need to stay off campus while waiting for a negative test result.

For families that do not want to sign the consent form, we will continue to follow CDPH guidance on quarantine for unvaccinated individuals. THIS ARTICLE specifies the procedures we will continue to follow. Please review it again. Thanks for your understanding and assistance with keeping our campuses as safe as possible and students learning in person!

Inter-district Transfers

It’s hard to believe, but plans are already underway for the 2022-2023 school year. If you are interested in an inter-district transfer (both renewals and new), the inter-district transfer form must be completed and turned into your child’s district of residence. Please contact the school office or visit https://hcoe.org/inter-district/ for more information, including important deadlines to return forms.

Pine Hill & South Bay Open House POSTPONED

SB Winter Book Fair Success!

Thank you to everyone who supported the in-person and online Winter Scholastic Book Fair in December. It generated a lot of excitement with the students and it was a big success, with the library earning $707 to purchase new books! The next Book Fair will be in the spring. Thank you again for your support!
