Good Manners Meal

In conjunction with our theme that good leaders use good manners, Northside students and staff will practice proper meal etiquette at a Good Manners Meal on December 18th. Students and Staff are encouraged to dress in their "Sunday Best" for the event. We will be sure to take many photos for parents to enjoy.

Primary Christmas Program

Grades: Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd grades

Date: Tuesday December 9th, 2014

Time: 6:00PM (please have students in their homeroom class by 5:45)

Dress:

Preschool – Pajamas

Kindergarten – “Rag Doll Rock” Girls-dresses (red/white colors)

Boys-blue/white shirts with black pants

** Think Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy!!***

** If you have a white apron for the girls, please send it in.

1st Grade – “Teddy Bear Tango” Dress clothes (any color) (girls-dresses, boys-nice pants/shirt). Please send a teddy bear with your child on the following dates and the night of the performance. (Mizell: 11/25, 12/6, 12/8; Gordon: 12/1, 12/8; Hutchison: 12/2, 12/8)

2nd Grade – various characters.

Princess Dolls – Nice dresses (any color)

Puppets – khaki/tan pants with a solid color shirt

Soldiers – black pants with red shirt

Christmas Program: Flashlights Needed

Students in third, fourth, and fifth grades will need a flashlight for one of the songs in the Christmas program. Please label flashlights with your child's name using permanent marker (or on a piece of tape). If possible, please send these in before Thanksgiving break. If you have any extra flashlights, please send them!

Art: Bibelots

Several Northside students have bibelots on display at the Improbable Baubles art show at the Headley-Whitney Museum. Congratulations to Graciela M. and Aiden L. on receiving awards at the recent opening!

Trout in the Classroom

Rainbow trout eggs arrived in early November and have now hatched. We will be caring for them over the winter and releasing them in the Spring!
