West Indian Manatee
-The West Indian Manatee(Tirchechus manatus) or sea cow is the largest surviving member of the aquatic mammal order Sireina.
-It is very agile in water and are not territorial as they have evolved in areas without natural predators.
-They mainly live in shallow rivers and creeks.
- They use communication more like their close relitive the elephant.
-They feed on about 60 plant species, which include sea grasses as their major food source -Its an endagered speices.
-Most deaths and injurys involve watercraft.
-They can be found munching on sea grass or playing around in the water, fliping or swiming upside down.
