Reasons for an amputation:

-Tumors from Cancer

-Poor blood flow

-Trauma to limb from accidents

-Vascular issues

-Diabetes

Risks:

-"Phantom" pain: sharp pain in missing limb

-Infections of skin or bone

-Joint contracture (the joint doesn't have full range of motion)

-Blood circulation problems

-Orthopedic issues
