Happy New Year! It's hard to believe that the 2016-17 school year is half over! I look forward to collaborating with each of you in the new year. I am always learning new techniques and excited to share them with each of you.

Scholastic Magazines
Scholastic Magazines have been activated for 2016-17
Falcon Bluffs spends a considerable amount of money each year on Scholastic Magazines. I have added the Art magazine to the collection this year. Each year new activiation codes have to be set up for those magazines. All the codes for Upfront, Scope, Math, Science, and Jr. Scholastic have been updated and can be found on the library website under the Scholastic tab at the top. Make sure you download the Scholastic Magazine App on your iPad. The videos that are linked to the magazines are wonderful resource. If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to ask!
Lesson Ideas
Show a lot of videos in class and would like to know how to add meaningful discussions to those videos.

EdPuzzle lets you add discussion questions to your videos. The video will pause and the question you pose to the students will populate and students have to answer the question you created on the computer. Technology Checkout Calendar
The technology calendar is used to check out various technology items that are available in the library. The library has 6 iPads available for checkout, document cameras and chrome books. Please use this checkout form to sign up for book checkouts.
After School Sign-up Form (Tues/ Thurs)
Students are allowed to visit the library during Enrichment time. Please use the form to sign-up students. This sign-up sheet allows the librarians and teachers to monitor the flow of students in the library during this time.

Laminator
The laminator request form is located under the Docs Tab on the school webpage. Please fill out the form with your requests and your order will be filled within 24 hours. All requests are emailed to Elicia Olson, paraprofessional.
Bulletin Board Paper
The library has a variety of assorted bulletin board paper for your decorating needs. The paper rack is located in the book room of the library.
Die cut letter machine
The die-cut machine is located in the book room of the library. There are a variety of construction paper in the cupboard below the machine. If you would like to use specialty paper you will have to supply your own.
