What is the Reading Counts Challenge?
It's no secret that reading and literacy development are of the utmost importance. We want to promote healthy reading habits and a genuine love for reading. Students can secure a pass to the media center or come with their ELA teacher for check out. Students can use Destiny Discover to check out eBooks. Students can also read books from their personal collection. Covid-19 safety precautions are in place for students visiting the media center. Students have a choice of selecting books of interest and preferably within their Lexile Range. Students can check to see if the book is supported by the "Reading Counts Quizzes Database". Students can earn class rewards and opportunities for individual prizes and recognition.
