Updates/Reminders
- We have seen an increase in inappropriate behaviors on the bus. Please remind students that they should be seated at all times during their bus rides. Also, inappropriate language and hands on behavior is unacceptable! Riding the bus is a privilege. If students are unable to do so safely, they may lose that privilege.
- This is a reminder that cell phones should be off and away during the school day.
- Please have students keep all toys and Pokemon cards at home.
- Classroom doors are locked during the day for safety reasons. If a student chooses to walk out of their classroom, they will be locking themselves out of the room. Please remind your student of this as we have seen an increase of students removing themselves from the classroom and then getting angry with teachers for "locking them out."
Parent Teacher Conferences are Approaching!!
Teachers will be reaching out, if they haven't already done so, to begin scheduling. You have the option to come in face to face, meet via zoom, or discuss your child's progress over the telephone.
We look forward to speaking with you then!
Health and Wellness Updates
There has been a significant rise in RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) and other respiratory illnesses in children in Delaware. Nemours and other Emergency Departments (ED) in our region are experiencing very long wait times for some patients. Call your child’s primary care provider for further guidance when they are sick.

CDC Flu SeasonIt's Flu Season!
There will be a flu vaccine clinic at Eisenberg Elementary on Tuesday, November 22nd for all Colonial School District Elementary students from 9 AM to 4 PM. To participate, students will need to be enrolled with the school-based wellness center. Enrollment forms can be found here or on the Colonial School District wellness page by navigating to the “Elementary School Based Wellness Center” option. Parents/guardians should plan to attend the clinic with students. Due to space constraints, we ask that only one parent/guardian and the child(ren) that are receiving vaccines present to be seen. Families can sign up for the clinic at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C094DACAD29A5F4C70-fluvaccine1
Feel free to call 302-429-4083 with any questions.

Forms will be coming home next week. Let us know if you are planning to attend so that we can make sure we have enough materials for everyone!

NCE Family Holiday Dinner
Next week, students will come home with a form regarding the dinner that will need to be returned if you and your family are planning to attend.
There is also a google form below that you can choose to use instead.
Only one (paper or electronic) form needs to be completed.
We hope to see you there!!
If your child has been or is going to be absent for an upcoming appointment or any other reason, you can submit that information by clicking the button above.
Breakfast and Lunch are provided FREE OF CHARGE for all students!
Be mindful that even if your child brings breakfast and/or lunch with them, we CANNOT DENY students access to the meals that we have in school, so if you do not want them to eat a school breakfast/lunch or have concerns about the possibility of them eating a double lunch (the one that bring from home and what we offer in school) and ending up with a tummy ache, please have that conversation with your scholar. :-)
