NOVEMBER HUSKIE HOWL
NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Hello SBE Families!
During the month of November, our staff and students will be reflecting on what we are grateful for in our class and school.
We would love to hear from our valued Shadow Butte families about what and who you are grateful for at our amazing school. Please take a brief moment to express your gratitude to our wonderful staff in this 2 question survey.
Your words of appreciation have a huge impact on our school staff. Your responses will be shared with our staff on November 18th before we leave for Thanksgiving break.
- Principal Christina Nava

We are grateful for the Emmett District and the Board of Trustees for purchasing a security system for our front doors that is similar to the Emmett Middle School. We are still waiting to hear on when they will be installed. The company is waiting on certain parts to start the installation. In the meantime, we will be working on a more secure pick-up process for students that are going home during the day. I appreciate your support as we transition to a more secure method of picking up students. Look for more information and details in the coming weeks.
Thank you for attending our STEAM night, last Friday. We had 168 children and 108 adults attend.
ECO WORLD DONATION BIN
Donate your gently used clothes and shoes to the Collection Bin that is located in the Southeast Corner of the Visitor Parking Lot. ECO World will be donating the items to local nonprofits. Our school will receive .04 cents per pound of the items that are donated.
Keep Toys, Valuables, and Trading Cards at Home
Please remind students that toys, trading cards like Pokemon cards and other valuables are a distraction as we are learning. Keep these items at home.

TRUNK OR TREAT
Shadow Butte Trunk or Treat was so much fun for our students! Thank you to the Community, PTO, Staff and Parents for all the hard work to make it a success!
NOTE FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE
Students often come to my office to borrow clothes for various reasons:
The Nurse’s Office is out of small pants (sizes 5, 6 & 7).
If you have gently used clothing that, your children have outgrown,
Please consider donating them to the Nurse’s Office.
A tax donation receipt is available upon request.
If your student has borrowed clothes, please wash them and return them so other students may have use of them.
NOTE FROM THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR
Girls on the Run
Hello Shadow Butte Families!
We have a great opportunity to bring the Girls on the Run program to Shadow Butte this spring. Girls on the Run is a program that helps teach girls in grades 3-5 self-esteem tools, which includes physical health. We are looking to see if there is enough interest to start the program and if people are willing to volunteer to become a coach and help the girls learn valuable life skills. Please take this short survey to let us know if you are interested.
Here is more information on what it takes to become a coach for the program:
