From the Middle EMS and ELA

News from the Principal, November 4, 2020

Hello Parents and Families,

Thank you for the support and feedback regarding rolling remote. We are all very sad to move to rolling remote, but unfortunately the numbers of positive cases and hospitalizations in Englewood and Arapahoe county have risen in the last 10 days to a very alarming level. While we haven't had very many cases (only 2) at EMS and ELA, the community is suffering from severe numbers.

Due to agreements made with our teachers, these numbers from Tri-County health dictate that we must close in-person school until the numbers stabilize. This will hopefully be a proactive move to keep schools doing great, and will give us more time for in-person down the road.

I know that our teachers have a great handle on rolling remote and we are doing everything to ensure students are continuing with great instruction during remote learning. And, my hope is that we are back in two weeks. What it will take is the community of Englewood and Arapahoe county to wear masks, cut down on social interaction, and so forth.

If at any time you need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out.
