What Have We Been Learning About??
Math
Division Patterns
Last week, the kids practiced solving word problems by using mental math and examining patterns in division. We reviewed the math vocabulary (Dividend, divisor, and quotient) in order to solve and estimate quotients in 2 different ways including rounding and using compatible numbers (numbers that make them easy to divide because of basic facts and patterns). This week - we are learning a few new strategies besides just the standard algorithm to solve long division problems.
