Vista PTA
Every child. One voice.
President's Message
It was wonderful to see our Vista families enjoy the Trunk or Treat on Friday 10/25. A heartfelt thank you to our Trunk or Treat committee: Laila Esmail, Jessica Armstrong, and Barbi Vargo who organized and ran a fun-filled and memorable night for our families. I would also like to thank our school librarian, Mrs. Vertuno, and her team who worked several weeks to solicit, arrange, and setup all the donated items for our first electronic auction. All of these ladies donated countless hours of their time to make this event successful. Thank you for your love and commitment to our children.
Looking forward to a wonderful November!

The Vista Art Docent Program was a hit in October. The kids really enjoyed creating their own rendition of "The Scream". In November students will study a contemporary artist from Japan, Yayoi Kusama, and her All The Eternal Love I Have for Pumpkins exhibition.
Students will be using Crayola Model Magic to recreate this work of art. Yayoi Kusama primarily works in sculpture form and loves to use lots of colors and patterns to create her works of art.

PTA 2nd Vice President - Ashley Andrew
Ashley is amazing! She orchestrated the Vista Fun Run that helped to fund some of our programs this year and was a blast for all involved (especially the kids). She is a wife, and a mom of 2: six year old Gavin and one year old Emma. When Gavin gets to 6th grade, Emma will be starting Kindergarten, so they will be long time Vista parents. Yay!
She works as a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. When she isn't working or volunteering at Vista, Ashley and her family love to camp and be outdoors. She loves Mexican food and likes to plan vacations and refine her home decorating skills. Be sure to say hi when you see her around campus!
