An (Extra) Long Weekend!
Hello GBS Bobcats!
Welcome back, everyone! We have a short week (again!) thanks to Old Man Winter and Mother Nature conspiring to bring us a hefty amount of snow this weekend. We wanted to let everyone know that we have NWEA testing coming up; the students have been diligently working hard to prepare, and we believe that they are indeed ready to show that GBS Bobcats only strive to be the very best!
There is a high chance of more snow this week, so please be careful while out and about. Take it nice and easy as you travel to and fro. Our district has been on top of letting families know regarding conditions, taking care to prepare for such, and I am grateful to be part of a district that takes staff and student safety so seriously.

Basketball Team Wrapup:
On Thursday this past week, both teams traveled to JRMS, and played against their B teams. We ended up winning both contests, thanks to some great playmaking and teamwork.
At the moment, this result means the Boys team have 7 wins this season, and the Girls with 6 wins! If you'd like to continue to support the teams, they will be playing away at SMS "B" in Peterborough this week on Thursday, Jan. 26th, with the boys playing at 3:00 and the girls following them at 4:15.
Finally, our Basketball Team's final game will be next Monday, January 30th at GBS, starting at 3:30 for the boys, and 4:45 for the girls' team.
8th Grade Transition Happenings
The following week, ConVal HS Counselors will visit GBS on Tuesday, February 21st in the morning to provide some additional info on classes, opportunities at the HS, etc., before Freshman Class Registrations begins (that same day). This registration will continue through March.
Reminder: Baby Photos!
Attention 8th Graders: During the 8th Grade Celebration, we traditionally like to have a slideshow showing baby pictures of the students, alongside their current photos, to show just how far they have come since they were littles. Ms. Kidd is organizing this, so if you can share any such photos by sending them with your student to give her, or if you can email her directly at ekidd@conval.edu, we'd greatly appreciate it.
