A carbon footprint is a measure of the environmental impact of an organization, event, or person.
When organizations move applications to the cloud, energy use and other components of their carbon footprint are reduced by at least 30 percent compared to storing everything onto a local server. For smaller organizations, the result can have potential carbon savings up to 90 percent per person.
