All Saints Day Mass - Today at 5:30 pm

All Saints Day Nov 1st vs All Souls Day Nov 2nd

On November 1, we celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints, a time to pause and reflect on all those holy women and men who have come before us — and who live among us. We recognize that as one People of God, we go to God together, praying for one another, learning from the example, the wisdom of those who have lived the Gospel.

November 2 is the Commemoration of All of the Faithful Departed, or All Souls. On this day, we pray that all those who have died— our loved ones, and also those people around the world who we will never meet— through the mercy of God, will rest in peace.

On Friday, Nov 2nd at 7 pm in Church St Pius Tenth will host an evening of prayer for all those who have lost a loved one this year. If you have had a death in the family you are welcome to attend.

Don't forget to set your clocks ahead this weekend!

This week at Youth Nite, Nov 4th: God’s Revelation to His People

How is God’s presence revealed to humanity? How is God’s presence revealed in your life? It’s not enough to know about God—we need to know and love God to be transformed. It’s time to go deeper in our relationship with God.

The Hands of Christ Recognition

The Hands of Christ is a recognition program created by the Diocese of Rochester to assist parishes in affirming their high school seniors who have been the “Hands of Christ” in their church, home, school and community, sponsored by the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis. Recognized seniors are invited to receive a plaque from the Most Reverend Bishop Salvatore R. Matano at one of three special Recognition Ceremonies to be held in February 2019. This year St Pius X Church is honored to host one of these Recognition Ceremonies.

The Criteria to receive this very special recognition:

  • Is currently a high school senior.
  • Has consistently demonstrated a Christian attitude by word and example.
  • Has been actively involved in the parish as well as their school or community.
  • Has been a positive role model to their peers, younger children and adults.
  • Is a practicing Roman Catholic in a parish in the Diocese of Rochester and attends Mass.
