Hello PIC Families,

I hope your summer is off to an amazing start! We have been busy closing up the 20-21 school year, and also excitedly preparing for the 21-22 school year. Our mission to cultivate an engaging, purposeful, student-centered learning environment resonates with our staff more than ever as we anxiously look forward to having restrictions lifted. All of our teachers have been planning fun, engaging, and authentic learning activities for our students this fall!


We have big plans and events for Perry Innovation Center next year and I wanted to give you a sneak peak at what is ahead. Please read below for more information and if you are able to volunteer or help in any way, we'd love to have you! In fact, we can't wait to have families be more present and involved in school activities as we pull out of the pandemic. It takes a village to raise children and we value close partnerships between school and home.


Our PIC office will be closed after this week but will reopen on Monday, Aug. 2. We will send out information for the start of the school year the second week of August, but please mark your calendars for our PIC open house on Wed., Aug. 25 at 5:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing our students and welcoming families to Perry Innovation!

Perry Innovation's PTO - Main Fundraiser Event for 2021-22

Our Perry Innovation parent-teacher organization (PTO) has ONE fundraiser each year, a raffle ticket sale, that funds amazing supplemental learning activities for our students such as field trip costs, guest speakers, equipment, and more! Our goal this year is to raise $35,000.


We are currently seeking sponsors for our annual PTO raffle ticket fundraiser to help offset the cost of raffle prizes. Opportunities like these are win/win for the sponsor: the school will benefit from the money raised and the sponsor will gain exposure and recognition as a result of their generosity. We have three levels for sponsorships:


Silver Sponsorship - $125 (Recognition on PIC social media, PTO family updates, and name listed on school banner that hangs in our lobby and cafeteria)

Gold Sponsorship - $250 (All of the silver sponsorship benefits plus business recognition for one week on our school marquee on the corner of Saginaw and Perry)

Platinum Sponsorship - $500 (All of the gold sponsorship benefits plus your business name printed on our raffle tickets)


PIC Parents, if you have any sponsorship leads, please contact Mrs. Catherine Toone at cmerci01@gmail.com for more information and a donation letter. Also, please sign up using the link below to assist the raffle ticket fundraising committee. Volunteer opportunities include helping to sort and organize tickets for distribution, setting up and/or staffing tables to sell tickets at community events this summer and fall, or helping to obtain classroom prizes for highest tickets sold, etc. If you can help, thank you! Book Donations Accepted!

If you happen to be summer cleaning and have any books that you want to get rid of that are appropriate for KDG - 8th grade, please save them to drop off at the Perry Center in August. We are expanding classroom libraries and collecting donations for our Book Mobile next year! Thank you!
