Attendance

It's that time of year that illnesses can consume our building. We want you to use your best judgment when it comes to sending your child to school. If they are ill by all means keep them at home and provide them with the necessary care they need. We will work diligently with you to get them caught up instructionally when they return to school feeling better.


If your child is not ill we need them in school each day. It's important that we are building positive relationships and preparing them for academic success at the next levels of learning. Here's our district attendance policy Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Instruction

Student Engagement

In order to meet the needs of all students teachers are creating lessons that will allow them to be able to determine prior to the end of each class what students do and don't understand. A myriad of engagement strategies are used to facilitate this process; whole group instruction (Teacher-led), modeling and working through exemplars (Teacher and students do together), and cooperative or independent practice (Students work independently or collectively).

Balance

Technology had become increasingly important to us when COVID-19 entered our world. Now, classes are working to find a balance between the old and the new. Teachers are still using CANVAS as a learning management system. Please feel free to check your child's CANVAS pages to see the type of rigor and high levels of learning occurring in their classes daily. Please feel free to contact their teacher directly if you have questions.
