+ Parent Portal is a place to review your child’s permanent records through 12th grade. It requires a two-step process to access so establish your account well before you need it. Go to VBSchools.com and click Parent Portal under the PARENTS drop down.

CLINIC CORNER
Early reminder for parents of 5th grade students: TDAP vaccine is a required vaccination to enter 6th grade. Your child will not get their schedule over the summer until this is done. Start thinking about getting this done. I will have access to 5th grade health records until the last day of this school year. I can update their immunization records so you don’t need to worry about it.
COUGH DROPS- With the weather being cold noses are congested, coughs are dry, and throats are feeling irritated and sore. Guidelines for the use of cough drops in school.
Written permission will be necessary from the parent/guardian when the child brings cough drops to school. (A little note in a zip lock bag with the cough drops)
The cough drops will be stored in the clinic for grades K-2nd. If your student is in the Village they can keep them in their back packs but to either let myself or their teachers know they have them. If you would like the clinic to keep them I can but please call or email me to let me know. This guideline has been modified during our construction process.
No cough drops that look like lollipops.
A student should not be consume more than 1 cough drop per hour.
Students should not share cough drops with others.
If a student requires the use of cough drops for 3 or more consecutive days, then follow up with their primary doctor is recommended.
If you have any questions about the guidelines, please don’t hesitate to call the clinic at
648-2447.
Thanks,
Michele Self, R.N
