Every reason why the USA needs you to vote!!!


  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You must be a US citizen
  • You must have lived in the county of voting for at least 30 days
  • You must not be a felon
  • You must rescind any previous registration in another county or state


  • Complete registration form
  • Go to your local polling booth
  • Register
  • Vote
  • Get a sticker!!!

Voter Behavior

You can vote if:

  • You are at least 18
  • US citizen
  • Non-felon

You cannot vote if you do not meet the above qualifications

Straight Ticket- Voters always vote the same political party

Split Ticket- Voters may vote for a republican president, and then a democratic congressmen

Ballot Fatigue- When voters get bored by the end of the ballot and just bubble in random names to get it over with

  • 15- All African American men can vote
  • 17- Senator elect
  • 19- All females can vote
  • 23- Extended presidential election to citizens in D.C
  • 24- No more poll taxes
  • 26- Everyone at least age 18 can vote

Suffrage Timeline

  1. 1870- no denial to vote based on race
  2. 1920- guarantees women the right to vote
  3. 1957- justice department can sue to protect voting rights
  4. 1965- cannot give literacy tests to citizens to determine if they can vote
  5. 2006- prohibits any and all tests or devices used to deny the right to vote
