Peak Primary Parent Newsletter

Peak Preparatory Primary School August Newsletter

I hope you have had a great week! We have some exciting information in the memo so please read it in its entirety! Also, scholars were rewarded this week with an "ICEE" because we are so proud of their hard work that we thought they deserved a treat! As well as scholars who are leading with points in their grade level with our Accelerated Reader Program. They were rewarded with a "free dress day" on Thursday. Keep encouraging your scholars to read and take their on-line quizzes in the library.

Parents, common assessments are district assessments that allow us to gage where scholars are performing to inform our instruction. This week 4th grade took writing and 5th took science. Next week scholars will take reading. Please encourage scholars to work hard. Talk to them about making sure they:

  • identify the genre
  • thinking jobs
  • and to ensure that they make their jots

Advantage after-school Program

We are trying to ensure the safety of our scholars. Advantage is a program established to assist scholars with siblings across the street from the middle and high school. Please know we will no longer release scholars to parents through advantage. We ask that you inform your scholars from upper school that they must arrive on time and be very respectful. We want to continue to offer this service, but also be able to ensure safety. If you, the parent, are picking up scholars during advantage times, you will have to pick up through the front office. Please call in advance so we can put your child in regular carline or else you will have to wait until advantage ends.

Cita's Kitchen

We have some amazing parents and they have reached out to us with this great opportunity! The owners of Cita's Kitchen are Peak Parents! I encourage you to patronize their business, especially on Wednesdays. They have the best Salsa ever!

This month they are celebrating 8 years of salsa making. Wednesdays are “Peak Day” and 10% of ALL our sales each Wednesday will go back to the school. How awesome is that! So please stop by and I promise you won't regret it!
