Willard School Library
Our library is here to support staff and students in meeting educational goals. This weekly newsletter will update you on new resources and ideas that are available physically and digitally.
Book Fair
The online page opens on Wednesday. You can order materials online and they will be delivered to our school. Please advertise this to parents. Book fair materials are due to arrive on Wednesday as well. I will be setting up the fair on Thursday after school. Friday morning will be a preview for teachers with snacks provided. At that time you can make a wish list for your classroom libraries. This list can be made available to parents and will be displayed during conference time. The library will still be open in a limited capacity on Friday. Monday will be a browsing day. A schedule will be on the library for 15 min slots to bring classes just to browse. You can also sign up to bring students as a class throughout the rest of the week if you would like or you can send students with money down with their pass.
Big 6 by the Month/Digital Citizenship
For November and December we are doing Information Seeking Strategies and also some Digital Citizenship activities. Please sign up soon.
Brain Hive
We have more eBooks. Brain Hive is a subscription eBook service. In your box you will find a teacher information sheet, your log in information, and a parent information sheet if you choose to copy and distribute it. Another idea would be to provide the link and some information on your own newsletters or webpages. Let me know if you would like me to show you or your students how to access these new titles.
