Change In Geocentric and Heliocentric

The geocentric model, also known as the Ptolemaic system, is a theory that was developed by people in Ancient Greece and was named after the philosopher Claudius Ptolemy . It was developed to explain how the planets, the Sun, and the stars orbit around the Earth. The geocentric theory has existed even before Ptolemy though ,Claudius Ptolemy was a Greco-Egyptian writer of Alexandria, known as a mathematician, astronomer, geographer, astrologer, and poet of a single epigram in the Greek Anthology . This has been described in many early Greek manuscripts. Plato and Aristotle were writing about the geocentric model. The word "helios" in Greek means "sun." Heliocentric means that the Sun is the center . This theory was first proposed by Nicolous Copernicus. Copernicus was a Polish astronomer . The theory was that ,

The daily movement of all the stars around the earth, could be explained by the rotation of the earth on its axis within a 24-hour period. The view from an object revolving around itself is identical to the view when all the other objects revolve around it.

Who Were Involved In This ?

Nicolaus Copernicus was a Renaissance mathematician and astronomer who formulated a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than the Earth at its center .Johannes Kepler was a German mathematician, astronomer, and astrologer. A key figure in the 17th century scientific revolution, he is best known for his laws of planetary motion , also helped further the heliocentric , proved it was true . Galileo Galilei, often known as Galileo, was an Italian physicist, mathematician, engineer, astronomer, and philosopher who played a major role in the scientific revolution . He invented an improved telescope that let him observe and describe the moons of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn, the phases of Venus, sunspots and the rugged lunar surface.

Modern Society

This change is evident in todays moderrn society , because if they didnt prove what they did , then we would still belive that the earth was the center of the world and we would not have discovered other moons around the galaxy . Without Galileos telescope , or Kepler and Copernicus theories , The world would be confused on the way the world works , for example , noone woould know how our seasons change because they proved that the earth orbits the sun , so when we are away from it , its winter and when we are close to it , it is summer .

These Amazing Men Changed Science Forever

In there time they changed the eyes of the people by proving the theories and enabled everyone to get the truth about the placements of the stars , moon , sun , and planets .This discovery provided evidence for the new relatively new theory that the planets , including Earth , revolved around the sun rather than the sun and the planets around the Earth .
