Round 3 of Power Options - Are you in?
Has this opportunity peaked your interest? Would you like to facilitate a workshop for our third and final round of Power Options this year? They will be offered for one hour, between 1-2pm on Wednesday May 1 and Wednesday June 5. If you are interested, please email Mme Gravelle at pamgr@eics.ab.ca or give her a call at 780-998-3716! If you're not sure what to do, Mme Gravelle would love to navigate the brainstorming with you! At OLA we believe when parents engage in their child's learning, they learn more, they are more engaged, and they get "filled up" with the connecting time!

Spring Safety Reminders
Picking Up Your Child or Dropping Something Off For Them?
Optimum learning in a safe environment, where children feel they belong and are loved are priorities for us at OLA. As such, we respectfully request that if you are picking up your child between the hours of 8:45AM and 3:19PM, or if you are dropping something off for them, to please come to the office. We will gladly call your child to the office for pick up or deliver the dropped off item during a natural break. This helps to minimize the interruptions to the children's sacred learning time. It also ensures the security of the building and everyone in it.
Volunteering in Your Child's Class?
We are always incredibly grateful to our amazing volunteers! Having moms or dads, grandparents and extended family members join the children in their learning truly enriches their experiences. Thank you in advance for volunteering. For the safety and security of the building and the people in it, thank you for signing in at the office prior to heading to your child's class.
Spring has Sprung
And with it comes spring rains. Children adore playing in the puddles and there is much learning to be had in doing so. We thank you for giving your child the tools to explore this wonderous part of spring rains, by placing in your child's backpack an extra set of socks and pants, and saying yes to them wearing their rubber boots on puddle days.
Is your Child Absent?
It is our first priority every morning to ensure that all students are accounted for. Using the SchoolMessenger tool helps us expedite this process to ensure the safe arrival of all of our students.
Thank you for reporting your child's absences in one of the following three ways:
- Using SchoolMessenger
- Using the SchoolMessenger App
- Using the EICS App with the SchoolMessenger App installed on your phone
- Calling 1-877-246-9970
Please click HERE for details about SchoolMessenger (the new version of SafeArrival) or for information on how to sign up.
