Bi-Weekly News from Winfield Elementary: 11.11.22
From the Principal, Mrs. Alonzo
Dear Winfield Families,
Thank you for your support and partnership during two E-Learning days this week. We recognize that this is a heavy lift for families--and we truly appreciate your help!
We celebrated the November Students of the Month this morning. Our targeted character trait was Gratitude. Congratulations to all students honored!
In no particular order, here are a few upcoming reminders:
- CogAT Testing will be conducted on Monday 11/14 in Kindergarten classes.
- InView Testing will be administered on Tuesday/Wednesday 11/15-16 in Second Grade classes.
- Lost & Found is overflowing! If your child is missing something, please have them check the lost and found. We will donate remaining items after Thanksgiving break.
- Car Rider Signs are necessary in the dismissal line at all times. Even if most members of our dismissal team recognize the student's vehicle- we may have substitutes, volunteers, or other staff members assisting. If you need a new car sign, please stop in the main office. Not having a visible car tag greatly slows down our dismissal process.
Enjoy your weekend,
Mrs. Jillian Alonzo
Elementary Math- Home Support Video & Survey
Our Department of Curriculum and Instruction created a helpful video about ways parents can help support students at home in math. Completing the survey after the video will help our team develop additional resources for families.
Reminder: Final Installment of School Fees Due 11/30
The final installment of textbook rental fees are due on November 30th. You may make an electronic payment using your Parent RDS account. Payments of cash or check are accepted in the school office. If your school fees are paid in full, please disregard this reminder.
Please contact Mrs. Griffith, School Treasurer, at 219-663-2287 with any questions.
