AMS Families,

Good afternoon AMS. We will soon have school wide ACAP testing. This is our state standardized assessment. Students have been preparing all year for this, and we are ready to see how much they have grown academically. We will be sending specific details home with students next week.

Report cards went home with students last Friday, be sure to ask your child to see their 3rd nine weeks report card.

Our students have completed over 12,000 math practice sessions this month! 7th grade is currently 457 sessions in the lead! Remember students must complete 50 minutes of Focused Freckle math practice each week as homework. Keep up the great work!

Ask your student to show you how they access their math practice through Freckle.

Students are encouraged to attend free tutoring sessions as needed. Students will sign in when they attend tutoring sessions. They do not have to pre-register.

The AMS talent show will now be Friday, March 31st at 6:30 (this is updated from March 24). Students have the opportunity to vote for a teacher/staff member to get pied in the face at the talent show! There will be buckets set up in the cafeteria for donations, and the teacher who receives the most donations will win. All proceeds will benefit the AMS drama department.

Is your student interested in playing school sports? Students must have a DragonFly account with a current physical in order to participate in school sports. We will soon be sending information for many Fall Sports. Please review the information regarding DragonFly and follow the link for a copy of the paperwork for your child's physical.

Volleyball tryouts are Monday and Tuesday, March 27 and 28, after school, in the middle school gym.

Remember, you must have a completed physical within the last 12 months to tryout!

Decatur City Schools has partnered with S2 Pass, a new innovative digital ticketing provider. In order to attend any home regular season high school or middle school athletic event, you must purchase your ticket from the S2 Pass app or at the gate with debit/credit. All events will be listed under Austin High in S2 Pass. We will no longer be using Gofan for regular season home games. However, please note that GoFan will still be used for any AHSAA sponsored playoff games.

You will need to download the S2 Pass from the App Store or Google Play. Once you have downloaded the app, you may purchase your ticket(s), and it will be scanned upon entry from your smartphone. Instructional videos is below. Please be sure to purchase your ticket(s) prior to arrival. Please share this information with other students and fans!

If you do not have a smartphone, you can also purchase your tickets from the S2 Pass fan website (for laptop/desktop computers only) and print out your tickets to present at the game through the link below: Fan Link
