Springtime is the land awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn. ~Lewis Grizzard

Welcome Spring!

Happy March!

I cannot believe it is March already, and we are looking toward our school year coming to an end! We have some wonderful events in the next few months so be sure to add them to your calendar.

Parking Lot Safety!

Please slow down in our parking lot. We have small children who are still learning about looking for cars who are crossing our parking lots. It is imperative that you go slowly and pay attention to keep our families safe. We are never upset about opening the doors for families who are late, so please take your time.

We are in need of donations of boys clothing.

We have run out of extra clothes for boys! If your child happened to borrow some extra clothes, please wash and return them. If anyone is able to supply us with extra used or new pants, sizes, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, we would greatly appreciate it. We could also use new boy and girl underwear and socks.

Does anyone live in the Castle Pines area?

If so, a few of our parents in that area are interested in carpooling! Please email one of our advisory board members, Kaitlyn Haupert, at kaitlyn.viater@gmail.com to be added to the carpool list.

Wacky Days for Spring Break!

Ms. Sam, the Director of Early Childhood Ministries at the church, is going to offer some fun days for children at the church during our spring break. This program is run through the church, but is designed for our Little School families. If you are wondering what to do with your children during the week off, consider Wacky Days. Email sam@stlukeshr.com for more information. Register at https://stlukeshr.com/res/wacky/

We look forward to the longer days and new growth in our students and the earth as we welcome the spring time!

With Grace and Love,

Kelly Amadeo, Director

Music Class News!

March is such an amazing time of year. The chill of winter is starting to melt away, and the promise of spring starts to shine a little brighter! We’re delighted to go on a musical journey of the study of Jazz. The best part about this unit is singing along with jazz arrangements of children’s songs, like “Old McDonald” and the ABC song. We’ll also learn about several instruments that are most commonly used when jazz is played in small groups.

Our second week of March, the Little Schoolers will search for their pot of gold while celebrating St. Patrick’s day with silly songs like Leprechaun Pie and playing rhythm sticks and dancing to traditional Irish music. Next, we’ll jump into spring with charming songs like "Peter Rabbit," "Picking up Flowers," and "Going on a Bear Hunt."

Our chapel song this month will be "Noah brought the Animals”.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful little blessings with us!

Ms Laura, Ms Sheri and Ms Jana
