The 9X Impact Update
October 6
Projects that connect the 9th grade curriculum with our Academy Pathways and embed study skills and Social Emotional Health are well underway. Students are rising to the higher expectation of deeper learning and they are amazing us with the level of writing, presentations and products they are producing!
If you have any questions, concerns, feedback, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me through email at cbrooks@reyn.org, call my office phone at 614-501-4017 (it will most likely go to voicemail because I'm not in that office much- but it's fixed and I will get the message!), or call or text my Google Voice at 614-636-2404. You can always stop in and visit as well. We want to work with you to make this the best program we can for our students!
Make It Matter,
Chris Brooks
Principal

Homecoming Spirit Week!
The Haunting of 9X
The concepts of compounds, filtration, and chemical and physical changes and properties in Physical Science are being made authentic and real-world with The Haunting of 9X project! While learning these concepts, students are also exploring visual, performing and communication arts skills to engage in designing a haunted house. Parent volunteers who work in the industry visited to explore and discuss working in the haunt industry. Students then created Mystery Buckets using compounds and the concepts of physical changes to go along with the haunt theme!
Water Bottle Fillers
Ms. Davis’ Global Studies students researched the impact of plastic bottles and believe that 9X should have a water bottle filler! Student presented their findings and made their case in a gallery walk.
