The Rwandan Genocide
The Rwandan Genocide is a genocide that resulted in the death of over 800,000 Tutsi civilians. As the result of a mainly Hutu comprised force set out to destroy the entire population of Tutsi. This genocide lasted from April 1994 to July 1994.
Why You Should Be Aware
The Rwandan Genocide was a horrific tragedy that impacted the lives of millions of people. But despite the immense impact on many people this genocide had. Many in western society still haven't even heard of the disaster. Let alone understand the consequences of the genocide, and what it did to those people.
Ways To Get Involved
Anyone can be involved by simply spreading information about the Rwandan genocide. Many people that don't understand or know about these types of crisis' aren't intentionally trying to avoid the Rwandan genocide, and many other events like it. They simply don't know about them, and would do something about it if they had the knowledge to do so. Spreading the word about the Rwandan genocide could allow people to understand these issues more clearly. And shed light to a generally misinformed topic.
