Class Pictures on Thursday! We will wear masks!
Updates for the Week
Here are some updates for the week of February 8-12.
We continue to accept applications for our pre-k program for the next school year. If your child will be 4 on or before August 30, 2021, they may be eligible for pre-k. We will be conducting screening in March, so please call the office to sign up.
We are still taking orders for our 2021 yearbook. The cost is $25, and we will only order yearbooks for those who order in advance. You can order a yearbook by returning the envelope and payment to school OR by ordering directly online from our website. If you need another form or have questions, please contact Mrs. St. John. https://wes.wilkescountyschools.org/apps/news/article/1348791
On Thursday, Strawbridge Photograph will be here to take class pictures. We will wear masks in the class pictures, and it will be another way we can capture this memorable year. We will begin with ALL remote classes at 8:15. If you’d like to order a picture, please return the envelope and payment to school by Thursday.
You can learn more about what’s happening in your child’s classroom by clicking on your teacher below. We look forward to a great week. Thanks for your support and encouragement from home.

About Attendance
Parents, please note that since we have moved to Plan A, students who are participating in Plan A will be marked PRESENT or ABSENT. If your child is not in school, you will need to send in absence notes as usual and it will be coded as excused or unexcused. If your child is officially quarantined or excluded by the health department and/or the school nurse, your teacher will offer remote learning. If your child participates and does the work, the student will be marked PRESENT OFF SITE (1R). If not, the quarantine absences would be excused. If your child needs to be out, we will work with you to make sure your child doesn't get behind.
For students who continue with remote learning note that in order for us to count your child in attendance off site, we must on a daily basis verify that the student is engaged (completing and submitting assignments), on pace (participating in the virtual classroom), or receiving academic/emotional support (directly from the teacher). If this isn't happening, your child will be counted absent. Please make sure that your child is submitting work and that you are communicating with the teacher daily. Thanks in advance for your help!
