The 200th Anniversary Steering Committee will be meeting on May 27th, following the service.
Do you have photos or mementos for Central's yesteryear? We have a dedicated team of historically-minded people who are gathering and copying material from the past, and will be sharing in the lead up to our 200th anniversary. All items will be returned. Speak to Barb Putnam or Mary Lou Ashbourne.
Many of you know Anne Gorley who sings in the church choir. Did you know she is a really good bowler? She has been chosen to compete in the Special Olympics in May in P.E.I. However, she needs to raise $1,200 from sponsors to pay her expenses. If you would like to support her, go to this link and follow it through to put in credit card details. Maybe she will bring home a medal to show us! Visit her page at Special Olympics Ontario
Frontlines Annual Dinner will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 6 pm, Weston Golf and Country Club, 50 St. Phillip’s Road. Help them celebrate 30 years of helping Weston. Tickets are $90, and available from Carol Latimer.

Please note that the Kairos Toronto West Group is sponsoring their first 2018 Workshop, “Refugee Rights – or Wrongs?” on Saturday April 21st from 10 am to noon at St. Philip’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 61 West Deane Park Drive. We would be grateful if you could use the two attachments, one a colour poster/flyer and the other a photocopy-ready black and white bulletin insert of the same flyer, to advertise the Workshop. With all the attention on refugee sponsorships in Canada over the last 3 years, we focus on the refugee rights that Canada has upheld or failed to uphold as we hear the story of a particular case that involved a west-end church offering sanctuary to a Roma family for a period of two years.
