compare and contrast
Conductors, Semiconductors, and Insulators are similar but also different. They all slow down the flow of the current. Conductors slow them down a little. Semiconductors slow them down more. Insulators completely stop the flow.
Vocabulary
Conductors: materials that allow electrons to flow freely from particle to particle. An object made of a conducting material will allow charge to be transferred across the entire surface of the object.
Semiconductors: The same as a normal conductors but but with a stronger resistance.
Insulators: resistance that completely stop the flow of the current when inside.
Insolator
When electrons are in here, they completely stop.
Conductor
When electrons are in these, they slow down because of the material they use to make the wire.
Semiconductor
These are the same as a conductor but it has increased resistance and used mostly in computers to keep it from over heating.
