Announcements

  1. Mary Henderson's last day with us is Thursday, March 26th. She has done a wonderful job of covering for Ashley during her maternity leave and Mary will be missed. Thank you Mary for all of your hard work with our 3rd graders!
  2. Congratulations to Raiden Brandgard, our school's Value Student of the Month for March!
  3. Teachers - The PTO is asking that you make sure to turn in your receipts for up to $100 for reimbursement as soon as possible.

  4. Walkathon permission slips are due on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Please make sure to remind your students in your newsletters. We will be sending out a reminder through Twitter and our school website as well.

  5. Acuity Readiness III ELA and Math testing for grades 3 through 5 starts on Monday, March 16th. To view the schedule click HERE.

  6. The Student Placement Questionnaire form was sent to parents in Friday's Central Communique. This form allows parents to share information about their child's needs however they may not request a specific teacher on this form. To view a copy of this form click HERE. Forms are due to our office by Wednesday, April 15, 2015. No forms will be considered after this date.

  7. The Technology Department is excited to announce that we are moving to a new Technology Help Desk. We believe the new help desk will improve communication on open help desk tickets. Once you have created a ticket you will receive emails about your ticket similar to the old help desk. The primary difference is that you can reply directly to these emails if you have additional information to add to a ticket or need to answer questions about your ticket. You will no longer need to log back into the help desk to provide additional information or answer questions (it is still an option but not necessary). If you currently have an open ticket on the help desk, the technology department will create one in the new system for you.

At the log in screen you will use the same username and password you use to log into your computer. Tracy Ballinger has put together a video tutorial on creating tickets in the new system.

  8. Reminder from the Nurse - If you haven’t turned in your Immunization record yet, please do as soon as you can. Remember you must have 2 MMR vaccines, a positive titer, or a birth date before 1957 to be considered immune from measles. If you have any questions let Laura know.

  9. Teacher of the Year - It is that time of year again when we turn our attention to nominating our Teacher of the Year. Last year, the district made some changes to the Teacher of the Year program. Going forward, eligible teachers include any teacher of any grade level in Plainfield Community School Corporation. Details can be found on the corporation web page. You may submit your nomination through the website or by sending a hard copy to central office. Nomination deadline is April 10, 2015.
