As everyone probably knows, we were not announced as finalists after the preliminary round. While examining the contest scores, the staff discovered that the scores entered into the computer did not match the scores on the judges sheets. When this error was pointed out, it was realized that the Creek Band was actually sitting in 8th place and should have been announced as a finalist.

Fortunately, the band was in the stands and ready to perform...so we made it happen. The band gave a killer finals performance for a packed and appreciative crowd, ending with a 9th place overall finish.

Our scores for the day from judges had us placed as high as 4th place (in a music caption) with all other placements in the top 10 in every caption.

What a way to end a long and emotional day!

Students who wish to audition for the Clear Creek Wind Symphony must audition for the Region 17 All-Region bands as this is part of the audition process for the varsity group. Students who are currently or wish to be in Symphonic or Concert Band are encouraged to prepare the music and audition.
