Do You Symbaloo?
Symbaloo EDU Webmixes
What is Symbaloo?
Symbaloo is a cloud based bookmarking tool to help organize and store all of your digital resources. You can gather all of your favorite resources related to a topic and compile them in a "webmix" that can be published and shared with colleagues, students, and parents. You can also search a large database of webmixes that have already been created.
One of the nice features is that if you use a website such as BrainPop that requires a login, you can set it up to automatically login for the students.
Another great feature is that if you use YouTube videos, the video will play within Symbaloo which keeps students from going to another website.

- Virtual Field Trips
- Unit or theme resources
- Set up Google Docs or forms within a webmix to use as assessments, exit tickets, etc. (Note: Google Docs remain a living document even when embedded in Symbaloo which is a great feature)
Symbaloo is a great tool to manage exactly which websites you want your students to visit. It is also a great way to organize your resources. Webmixes are easy to create and there are also plenty of webmixes to "borrow".
I will be happy to come into your classroom and help you get started with Symbaloo if you would like. Thanks!
