Magazine Drive is coming to Glenwood!
Open House
Our Open House has been scheduled for September 27th. We have decided to attempt a previous format. We are inviting all parents and guardians, along with their Glenwood students to join us at one of two sessions. You will have the choice of which session to attend. If you have two or more children, please plan to join us for both sessions A and B. There will be a 15 minute break between sessions to alleviate the parking situation. This new format will allow us to present to all families in one night versus the previous format which had families attending on multiple nights. For example, if you have both a third and fourth grader, you may elect to attend the third grade presentation during session A and then move to session B to attend the fourth grade presentation. To make this night enjoyable for parents and students we are asking that siblings do not attend the presentations.
Session A will run from 6:00-6:30. All three grade levels will be presenting in their pods.
Session B will run from 6:45-7:15. All three grade levels will be presenting in their pods.
All three specialists, Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Arsenault and Ms. Teevens will be in the art room.
Mrs. McNamara, Dr. Liubovich, Mrs. Ross and Mr. Otteman will be joining us.
Parking will be available on both sides of the building as well as in front.

Bus News
Every new year has its bus challenges and this year is no exception. The bus routes that look good on paper, many times do not work during the shool year. The times in Powerschool are an estimate and as things change, like new students coming, the times change a few minutes. The bus company is asking us to remind all Glenwood families to arrive at the bus stop at least 10-15 minutes earlier than the assigned times in the morning. Also the afternoon drop off could be at least 20 minutes later the first few weeks of school. We are working together to try and get the times shortened.
Please bear with us as we try to work out all the kinks! One of our buses is packed to the rim; therefore we cannot allow any other students on Bus 10. Please make note of this for our half days and early dismissals.
Arrival and Departure
We begin dismissal at 3:25 with our vans. All walkers dismiss at 3:30 and buses begin to arrive at 3:35. For the first two weeks of school all buses may run late. We appreciate your patience as we work through these next two weeks.
Our first half day is September 20th and we will begin dismissal at 12:25. Lunch will be served.
We ask that no car drive around another car during arrival and dismissal. There are times when students jump out of a car or run back to see their parents. For the safety of our students please stay in the car line.
