- You are aware this student has a history of trauma (abuse, neglect, or other deeply distressing/ disturbing experience).
- You are unaware of any documented history of mental health issues or trauma for this student.”

Please keep Beth Fields in your thoughts and prayers. Her father passed away this week.
Attention ALL Staff: When entering an absence into AESOP, please ALWAYS fill out the "notes to administrator" box. If the box is not filled, the absence will be denied. Any instructional assistant wanting to use annual leave on a school day must have administrative approval before entering the absence into AESOP. Teachers wishing to use personal leave must have prior administrative approval and MUST have a sub lined up. We have had to pull way too many instructional assistants to cover teacher absences. Sick leave should only be used when you or an immediate family member is sick or if you or a family member have a scheduled Dr. appointment.
Teachers, please make sure to review the file of new students very thoroughly once it arrives. Many times, there is important paperwork (custody, behavior, etc.) that is essential to safety and/or that child's success.
Teachers, if you are inviting parents in for the Holidays, please let Mrs. Reed or Mrs. Slagle know so it can be added to the school calendar. The office also needs to know when to expect extra traffic in the front lobby. Thanks so much!
The 2014-15 EVAAS reporting for district-, school-, and teacher-level reports on the End-of-Grade, End-of-Course, K-2 Assessments, many of the Career and Technical Education Post-Assessments, as well as many of the NC Final Exams will be available the evening of Nov. 12. Please log in to EVAAS to view these reports. https://evaas.sas.com
Turkey Grams will be in the teacher's lounge starting Monday, November 16 through Thanksgiving Break. Please let a colleague know why you are thankful for them by filling one out and putting it in Mrs. Reed's or Mrs. Slagle's box. We will be choosing a few each day to highlight on announcements (not all will be highlighted out of respect for time). Mrs. Reed and Mrs. Slagle will then put them in each recipient's box. Let's take the time to THANK those around us!
