Life in 5th Grade!

Dear Families,
MAP testing is finished! The students did amazing taking all assessments - their effort was off the charts. Thank you for encouraging them and for the delicious snacks that were sent in each day to share.
5th grade graduation invitations went home last week. Here is the information in case your invitation didn't make it home...
When: May 19th 9-10:30
Where: FMT Multipurpose Room
Why: To celebrate the accomplishments of our 5th graders
Who: 5th graders may invite 2 guests (limited space in gym)
We have a lot of fun things planned for the end of the year! See below for more information. Students will earn these fun activities by continuing to show their PRIDE.

Last Week of School Activities
Tuesday – Movie Day/Sno Cones-Yearbook Signing
Our class will celebrate the end of fifth grade together with a movie. It is a PG movie and permission slip to watch the movie (permission slip will be sent this week). Students may bring a pillow/blanket if they would like but it must fit in their backpack.
Yearbook Signing and Sno Cones – Students who purchased a yearbook will receive it and other students will get an autograph book. We will sign yearbooks/autograph books outside and enjoy Sno Cones provided by PTO.
Wednesday- Pizza Lunch - Clean Out Desks
We will have pizza for lunch in the classroom together. If your student wants to eat pizza, please send in $2 by next Tuesday. They can bring their own drink for our special lunch. Please bring your backpack to take home supplies.
Thursday- Great Skate Clean Out Desks
Students who earned it will be going to Great Skate. Students may buy concessions at Great Skate or bring a sack lunch for our return. Those not attending will have lunch at school. Please bring your backpack to take home supplies.

Wondrous Writers- This week we are finishing our last writing project, memoirs. It has been such a joy to watch these writers grow this year!
Reading Rocks- This week we will be completing our end of year reading assessments. Cut off for turning in book reports is Friday,
Tech Time- No tech time this week.
