Join Clements Middle School PTSA (Parents, we need YOU!)
Why Join PTSA?
Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a recognized group of parents and teachers (and students) that work together for the benefit of the school and, ultimately, our children.
Join CLMS PTSA by Clicking Here
Here are 10 good reasons you should consider joining our PTSA.
#1: It's good for your child(ren). When parents get connected to the school, children get better grades, do better on tests, and have fewer discipline problems. When you build a relationship with your child’s teachers, principal, and office staff, it will be far easier to communicate any problem (or victory) throughout the year.
#2: It's important to the school. Schools are becoming more and more dependent on parent groups. The parent groups are responsible for almost all of the school's fundraising revenue. We provide support to teachers and administrators, and we create a caring and supportive atmosphere in the school.
#3: You'll get connected. There’s no better way to know what’s going on in the school than to be in the school's parent-teacher group. You'll be first to hear about important decisions and changes the school is thinking about making, and you will get to know teachers and administrators on a familiar basis.
#4: You'll discover great resources. The PTSA offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well as students.
#5: You'll tap into a network. PTSA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, build rapport and discuss issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences. The common bond all parents of school-aged children share is that we care about creating the best possible educational experience for our kids. We are neighbors and peers, and as a result, many friendships are forged via this connection.
#6: You'll watch yourself grow. Volunteering with the PTSA puts your skills and hobbies to use for a noble cause—your child and all children in the community. Your child will beam for weeks after his parent comes to school and shares his career, hobby, or even just their time helping out at school. Stay-at-home parents, as well as working parents, all have individual talents they can share. Parent groups work to establish a supportive and encouraging community for the entire school. The goal is to create the most educational environment possible for our children.
#7: You can speak up. Your voice and opinion matter! It makes a difference when you speak up. Your voice and ideas can help improve the quality of education for your children and their peers. PTSA can be a way for you to suggest more effective changes at your child’s school.
#8: You'll witness improvement. You'll be part of the solution by getting involved at your child’s school and help make positive changes. Local PTSAs play an important role by supporting building improvements through advocacy and play an important role in fundraising for curriculum-based programs and social events.
#9: You'll be a role model. By becoming a PTSA member, you’ll demonstrate to your child the importance you place on education and involvement in their world. They'll see you taking a stand to make education better for them, and their peers, and chances are they'll do the same.
#10: You'll help raise necessary funds. Your PTSA membership fees are the major source of PTSA funds, providing more educational services for children to improve the quality of the school overall.

Sporting Events Expectations for ALL Clements and Newton County Schools Fans and Spectators
Elementary and middle school students are welcome spectators to high school athletic events in Newton County School System, as respectful partnerships among students, staff, parents, and the community are integral to student success. Yet, we must take precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, which remains the district’s highest priority.
Due to the large crowds at our football games, students under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Students who are not with a supervising adult will not be permitted in the stadium. Please note that high school students are not acceptable substitutes for supervising adults. Thank you for your partnership and support.
Clements Middle school students must go home after dismissal and return to the game. Students will not be allowed to stay after school for games. Students must go home via bus or car rider and then return for all games.

Spectators are not allowed to enter the competition area prior to, during, or after the conclusion of the contest. Violators are subject to removal from the venue. Thank you for your cooperation in the promotion of good sportsmanship at today’s event.
