The Hour of Code is coming soon. Between December 8 - December 14 resources abound to get your students involved in learning the basics of coding. Coding teaches kids patterning, logical thinking, problem solving, and computer science. Grades K-12 can participate. Check out the website at http://code.org for more information and resources. You don't have to know how to code in order to have students participate. If you are interested in participating and you aren't sure how to proceed, feel free to contact one of the trainers for help.

Ken Steen, a code.org trainer, will be offering a Coding for Teachers in-service on January 10th from 10:00-4:00 at Lewis and Clark Middle School. This is a tremendous learning opportunity for our K-5 teachers. The course is FREE and available to the first 20 people that apply. You can find more details here. To register for the workshop, click this link.
