Attendance
Important: If your student is leaving early or coming in late - please have them stop by the main office for a blue slip. A blue slip allows the teacher to know the student can leave the class and prevents the Main Office staff from calling and interrupting the class to get your student out.

Application for F-R Price School Meals
We are thrilled to announce that because of several school meal waivers in USDA’s COVID recovery plan, school meals will be free for all students. All students will receive free breakfast and lunch regardless of their household income eligibility. It is still very
important for families to submit the Application for Free and Reduced Price School Meals to track our community’s Free and Reduced Percentage. Filling out and returning the application may help your family, the school, and the community at large, qualify for other financial assistance. P-EBT benefits to your household, grant funds for the school, and telecom reimbursements for the community are just a few examples of the benefits of having higher Free and Reduced percentages in our community.
The quickest and easiest way to fill the form is to utilize our online application found at MySchoolApps.com. If you are unable to access the online application, please use the 2021-2022 Application for Free and Reduced Price School Meals.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the Child Nutrition office at 802-857-7333 or email Scott Fay at sfay@ewsd.org.

Jill Prado Receives Fulbright Award!
This Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Scholarship is comprised of global education coursework and a capstone project, followed by an international field experience (in Prado's case, to France and Morocco). The program is a wonderful complement to the Global Leadership Program at EHS, which now includes more than 100 students in our district, as well as students in our current partner schools in Belgium, Denmark, and Spain. Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms will help us to connect with new schools, educators, and students around the world so that our international exchanges - both virtual and in-person - will grow even stronger.
As a Fulbright recipient, Prado will share knowledge and foster meaningful connections across communities in the United States and abroad. Fulbrighters engage in cutting-edge research and expand their professional networks, often continuing research collaborations started abroad and laying the groundwork for forging future partnerships between institutions.
Congratulations, Jill!
EHS Tabletop Games and RPG club
This club offers both a casual tabletop gaming component for those that just want to drop by or Dungeons and Dragons and other RPG-style games for the more seasoned gamers. We will be holding an informational session on Thursday, September 2nd at 2:45 pm in the RYSE classrooms where we'll discuss the club in more detail.
This session will be particularly important for those who want to play RPG-style games to begin the planning/grouping process. Starting September 23rd, the club is anticipating starting weekly every Thursday from 2:50-5 pm in C123 and C124. If interested, please email okranichfeld@ewsd.org.
Volunteering at the Sugarhouse at the Fair
After an unprecedented year off, the Champlain Valley Fair is back on! The fair dates are August 27 -September 5. And we would love your help! Experience is not needed or required! Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings are always our busiest nights with concerts/events, but volunteers are needed for all days. Our shifts are 9:30 -4:00 p.m. and 4:00 - 10:00 p.m., each day.
Each volunteer receives a pass for Fair admission with parking, a $15.00 meal allowance, a tee-shirt, entry into a prize drawing at the end of the Fair, and an invitation to a free dinner scheduled for late September for all volunteers who helped at the Fair. If you can help us, please call MEGAN DAVIS at 802-825-8294. She will oversee all scheduling. Fair passes will be mailed so PLEASE CALL EARLY as we are NOT able to schedule at the last minute this year.
Many thanks! ---Chittenden County Maple Sugar Makers Association
