The Begining of Cell Phones

The first idea of cell phones was in the early 1900's. The very first cell phone required using your cars battery. The first cell phone that didn't use your cars battery was created by Martin Cooper in 1973. It wasn't till later on April 3 1977 when the first call was made. It was 10 inches long and 2 1/2 pounds.

Cell Phones Through Time

The first phones ran on 1g and took hours to charge. It wasn't till 1992 when 2g was invented. It allowed simple internet access and texting. In 2002 the camera was added to phones and they also could slide.

Everyone loved that 911 was in reach and can be with you whenever!

The Apple iphones were invented in 2007.

Todays Cell Phones

In 2013 we have 4g internet access and we even have phones that talk to you. Also some smartphones if you hit a button and speak your phone will type for you. Todays phones are way lighter, smaller and thinner.
