Dear Sundance Families,
We are looking forward to a SPOOOK-TACULAR week!! Next week, our PBIS lessons will focus on drills and our garden. We appreciate our student ambassadors for creating engaging slides! At the end of the week, please review the expectations below with your wildcat.
Halloween Parade: Our parade will take place in front of our school this year as we walk along the sidewalk. Join us on 10/29 at 8:45am in the parking lot. Viewing zones will extend from in front of the MPR all the way to the ESS gate. If you're unable to make the event, please check our Instagram for photos & videos: SundanceElementary
Conferences: While on campus for meetings such as Parent Teacher conferences, IEPs, SSS, 504 meetings, and admin meetings, per CDPH face coverings, we do NOT need to ask parents/guardians for vaccination or negative PCR status as long as they are masked

OCIS Contracts: Please contact ahorton@powayusd.com if you are planning to take a vacation. Advanced noticed is much appreciated!
11/1: Please note that our staff pro grow day will now be a 1/2 day. Students will be released at 12pm. This aligns with the number of required student days for the year.

Join 2 free webinars for Parents and Caregivers offered by the San Diego County of Education. The first is "Supporting Your Child During An Uncertain School Year: Tips for Managing Anxiety." The second webinar is "Cultivating Emotional Resilience & Mental Fitness While Parenting" which is offered on Thursday, November 18, 2021, 6:00-7:00pm (sign up here) and Wednesday, April 27, 2022, 6:00-7:00pm (sign up here).
Foundation/PAC Memo
Sundance’s Trunk or Treat - October 28th 5:30-7:30pm
Attention all Sundance Wildcats! Don’t forget to purchase your tickets to the Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 28th from 5:30-7:30pm! Each family who purchases tickets ahead of time will receive 5 free raffle tickets. We are raffling off 6 large baskets filled with candy, toys and art supplies, along with some Sundance Spiritwear! During the Trunk or Treat we will have snacks & drinks available for purchase, along with some light up toys & glow sticks. All the proceeds go towards Sundance Elementary! Kona Ice will also be there and giving us a portion of the proceeds. Be sure to dress up in costume and decorate your own car if you are driving through. We are now allowing families to either walk through or drive. If you would like to volunteer during this event or participate in having a decorated car on display, please contact Lori Faydo @ lfaydo@att.net.
