Coronavirus Info for 2022-23
COVID-19 Info for Bulldog Families
Explanation of this Page
Hi Bulldog Families, while we are very fortunate that the pandemic has reached very managable stages now that we have worked through and with the regulations, COVID-19 still exists in a highly contageous way. However, the federal government and the state government have largely left protocols in the hands of the local school districts. With Washington Township, we have always followed the guidance and best practice as outline by the NJ Dept of Health and as interpreted by the Gloucester County Department of Health. As the district and Bunker Hill get information, we will publish it here. As always, frequently check this update for the latest information we can provide.

A couple of updates here.
We are still in the Orange as of this correspondence. However, we are not changing much. Here is what the tentative protocols are at this point.
- Bunker Hill and the schools in the district are mask optional for students and teachers as long as they are feeling good with no symtoms.
- There is no remote option for learning and no quarantine for close contacts unless the close contact is in the same family/household. We will let families know if there is a known exposure but regardless of vaccination status, exposed people do not have to quarantine unless they develop symptoms or unless they are in the same family, regardless of symptoms.
- If a student is positive, that student must stay home for 5 days. Once symptom free for 48 hours (about 2 days), they can return but be masked for 5 days after regardless of a negative test.
- Specifically, there is no test out option. Meaning when a person who is positive has completed their 5 quarantine and 48 hours (about 2 days) symptom free, regardless of if they have a negative test before returning, they still must wear a mask for 5 days.
