Counselor Corner
Spring is almost here and the last quarter of the school year is upon us already! The end of the year can be a difficult time to continue pushing through the rigor and responsibility of successful academics. However, there are ways for students to stay on top of their game and reach their goals without additional stressors. Here are some tips for school success.
Getting and staying organized:
-Have a well lit and quiet place to study
-Remove or turn off devices that are distracting
-Write down important dates each week (quizzes, tests, reviews, etc.)
-Have your supplies with you for each class
-Schedule a time each day for reviewing classwork
-Involve a parent or guardian when reading and studying
Preparing for assessments:
-Complete your classwork
-Ask your teacher questions
-Buddy study with a friend
-Set academic goals
-Review classwork and notes daily
-Use teacher review guides and notes when available
These are just a few of the many tips out there that can help a student achieve their goals for academic success. Please continue to remember the 3 R’s…Be RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY to learn! Have a great Spring everyone!
