Dear Middle School Families,
It is hard to believe that spring break is right around the corner. Next week is a full week of school with a Late Start on Wednesday. Our spring dance is Thursday after school from 3:30 to 5:00 which will be a fundraiser for our Student Council. The cost for students to enter the dance is $5. Only students who attend MSMS or Ute Pass 6th graders may attend. We look forward to a great week of learning and fun!

3rd-11th Grade Testing
Dear Parents/Guardians,
In April we will again administer state testing for our 3rd-11th graders.
In grades 3-8 students will take three tests each of math and English Language Arts, with an additional 3 tests of science for grades 5 and 8. In grades 9-11 students will take the SAT Suite of assessments, with an additional science assessment in grade 11.
We believe that these assessments help to monitor a student's academic growth and support our professional growth as well. If you have any questions about state testing please reach out to our child's school assessment coordinator.

Music Jam!
but we have 4 guitars, two keyboards, drums, percussion, and multiple amps available. At jam, we go around in a circle taking turns suggesting
songs, and Mr. J helps the group arrange the song and is prepared to give students resources to help them practice their instrument at home.
You are not required to sign up or stay for the entire jam-hope to see you there :)

6th Grade Snack Sign-up:
6th graders eat lunch early, at 10:05am, so they tend to be hungry towards the end of the day. PAC is helping organize snacks for the 6th graders so they can focus on their afternoon classes. The big boxes of snacks they sell at Costco or Sam's are perfect. Please consider signing up HERE.

Mustang Tech Tips!
Good email etiquette is like good manners at a dinner party - it might not seem important, but it can make or break the experience for everyone involved!
Email has become an essential part of communication in today's digital world. It's fast, convenient, and can be accessed from anywhere in the world. However, the ease of email communication has also led to the rise of some common email etiquette mistakes. To avoid these mistakes and make a good impression in your professional and personal emails, it's important to follow some basic email etiquette guidelines. In this guide, we will provide you with some tips and best practices to help you communicate effectively through email and avoid common mistakes.
- Use a clear and concise subject line: Make sure your subject line summarizes the content of your email.
- Use a professional salutation: If you don't know the recipient personally, address them with their appropriate title and last name. For example, "Dear Mr. Smith" or "Dear Dr. Johnson."
- Use proper grammar and spelling: Double-check your email for typos and grammatical errors before sending it.
- Keep your message brief and to the point: Avoid writing lengthy emails and try to convey your message in a few sentences or paragraphs.
- Use a professional email signature: Include your full name, job title, and contact information at the end of your email.
- Be respectful and courteous: Use polite language and avoid using all caps, as it can come across as shouting.
- Use an appropriate tone: Consider the tone of your email and make sure it matches the context of your message.
- Avoid using slang or emoticons: Keep your language professional and avoid using slang, abbreviations, or emoticons.
- Respond promptly: Try to respond to emails within 24-48 hours, especially if it requires urgent attention.
- Use the "Reply All" option sparingly: Avoid using the "Reply All" option unless it's necessary, as it can clutter other people's inboxes.
