Here's what we are working on...

Reading - We are continuing to work on Reader's Theater. The students love it!

Math - We will be focusing on money, specifically word problems with money and change from a dollar.

Writing - We will be finishing our poetry books for our moms!

Social Studies - We finished up our economics unit today. We will be reviewing with a Jeopardy game next week. Each teacher will set the date that works for their class for the test and let parents know.

Grammar - We will be doing word work with the -ure and -ore word families.

Spelling/Word Study - We will be learning about the -ore and -ure word families. Our anchor words are cure, pure, core, and chore.

The sight words are follow, came, want, show, also, around, form, three, small, set . These will be tested on May 6th.

May 19th - End of year party (afternoon)

May 20th - Talent Show

WHAT? 8th Annual Puckett’s Mill Elementary Kickball Challenge

WHO? 5th grade students and spectators (PMES Students and Families)

WHEN? Tuesday, May 10, 3:30 – 5 p.m.
WHERE? Puckett’s Mill Stadium (Puckett’s Mill playground)
WHY? To honor the fifth graders and benefit the Puckett’s Mill Relay for Life team.

COST? $2.00 for players or spectators
