Week of February 15 - February 19
A Peek at Our Week
Reading
This week students will determine a theme in a historical fiction text. Some questions to ask your kids this week as they read their favorite books at home are: What does the character say? What does the character think or feel? What does the character do? Does the character change or learn a lesson by the end of the story? What message, or theme, do you think the author is trying to share with the reader? Exlpain.
Spelling/Grammar
This week, students are learning how and when to use apostrophes, quotations, and commas in the writing correctly. Due to the short week, students have had additional time to prepare for the spelling test of week 22.
