Good Afternoon!

This is a special edition Smore to remind you of the plans and themes for next week for Catholic Schools Week 2020. We will have an Open House on Sunday, from 1pm - 3pm, so please send new families our way! :) Also, scroll down to sign up for 2nd trimester conferences on Feb 6th and 7th (both are noon dismissal days!).

Catholic Schools Week Reminder!

We are coming up on Catholic Schools Week, once again. This is held at the end of January every year and it is a way of celebrating all that Catholic Schools offer to students and families! The theme is Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed. Catholic schools not only offer high quality academics and a foundation of faith and morality, but Holy Rosary also offers innovative programs such as our bilingual program and one of the most diverse student bodies in the Archdiocese of Seattle. So, thank you for giving the gift of a Catholic, bilingual education! Here is more about our celebration week so that you can be prepared:

Sunday: We will have an Open House for new families. We will provide tours from 1 pm - 3pm. If you would like to help with giving tours (for volunteer hours), please contact Ms. Nina at office@holyrosarybilingual.org.

Monday: The day focuses on Grandparents and Special Friends. We will have an all school mass at 9 am and then grandparents and special friends are invited to join us for lunch (noon for grades K - 8), followed by a musical performance at 1 pm and a few fun activities in the lower grade classrooms between 2 pm and dismissal. Or, grandparents can take kids home early! Please invite your guests for this fun day!

***Student Wear for Monday: Full Uniform for Mass and performance (including sweater).

Tuesday: This is the day to celebrate PARENTS! We will have a special treat for parents during morning drop off...and maybe a little something going home in the afternoon.

***Student Wear for Tuesday: Fandom/Celebrity Day (dress up like a favorite celebrity, musician, athlete, or wear t-shirt/sweatshirt with band or face on it).

Wednesday: This is the day to celebrate our staff and teachers. Let them know you appreciate all they do!

***Student Wear for Wednesday: The theme is 90s day! Students are encouraged to dress like they did in the 90s...flannel shirts, overalls, and so much more. Check it out on Google...think Salt and Pepa, Will Smith, and Saved by the Bell :) That was a tough era for hair dos!!

Thursday: This day is in honor of service to others. We will do special service projects.

***Student Wear for Thursday is: Disney/Cartoon Day (dress like your favorite Disney character or cartoon character).

Friday: We will celebrate the STUDENTS on Friday. They will have special activities, including a color wars assembly in the afternoon! Each grade will wear a different color.

2 - Light Blue

3 - Purple

6 - Yellow

7 - Pink

8 - Black

Conference Sign Ups for 2nd Trimester!

The 2nd Trimester conferences are NOT mandatory. Either a parent or a teacher MAY request to meet to discuss student progress. These conferences will be held on the afternoon of our two half days (Feb. 6th and 7th) from 1:15 pm - 5:15 pm. Each block is 15 min. long.
