NOTES:
All exams will be in the cafeteria.
Please be on time. Students arriving late will not be afforded additional time to complete the exam.
All exams must be taken on the day on which they are scheduled. Students need an excused absence and approval from the appropriate assistant principal to make-up an exam.
Please refer to our student handbook for an explanation of excused absences.
Students that are exempt from an exam or that do not have an exam scheduled for a particular period do not need to report to school during that period.
As a senior privilege, students may leave an exam period after they have finished only if they do not need to return for any reason, including taking another exam. Otherwise, students will remain in the cafeteria.
Students taking elective courses will take those exams during the exam period of the corresponding subject area. For example, Street Law students take the exam during the Social Studies exam period on May 21. Forensic Science students take that exam during the Science exam period on May 21.
If a student has two classes in the same subject area (i.e. taking two Senior Seminar English classes), he or she must work it out with the teachers to determine which exam will be taken during that subject area’s exam period and which will be taken during the VPA/Remaining Electives period. The Remaining Electives period is the only period during that second exam can be taken.
Seniors that do leave must exit the building and head home. Unfortunately, seniors will not be allowed to see other teachers or move throughout the building.
Grades close for seniors on Thursday, May 23. Report cards will be issued on Wednesday, May 29.
Mandatory graduation rehearsal is on Wednesday, May 29 from 8-11 a.m. Students must be in the cafeteria by 7:45 a.m. Any student interested in participating in Graduation on June 1 must attend this rehearsal.
