A Message From Mrs. O'Shaughnessy
Our amazing custodial staff worked tirelessly all last weekend (and this) to ensure snow removal allowed for us to return. They are truly superheroes!
For a short week, we sure have filled it up! Here are some reminders:

- After-school Activities : Pokemon Club, Digital Music Club, Yoga and Mindfulness
When we return, we have three new after-school programs. Ms. Becker has created an opportunity for our kindergarten and first graders to improve their reading skills, and Ms. Stiebel and Ms. Kaplan have created a Fun filled math games opportunity for our grade 2-5 students. Details to come!!

Black History Month Essay and Art Contest
PS 88Q is initiating an Essay Contest and Art Contest to honor to Black History Month.
- Art and essay contests are open to students in Pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade. The theme for the essay and art contest is “A Celebration of African-American Innovation and Innovators.” Students are asked to share how African-American innovators have shaped our country. The art contest is open to all students in grades PreK-5, with the same them. Please email your essays to loshaughnessy@schools.nyc.gov. Artwork can be given directly to the teachers or emailed to loshaughnessy@schools.nyc.gov.
