What is Malware
Types of Malware:
Computer virus:
A computer virus is a type of malware that spreads by becoming part of another program. They can damage data and crash your computer.
Worms:
Worms are similar to viruses because they have the same effects and they replicate, but worms are different because they are are a stand alone software. Meaning they do not need a host program to work.
Trojan Horse:
It is a harmful piece of software that makes itself look legitimate. Computer users are tricked into clicking a link which is how the Trojan horse gets into the computer.
Spyware:
A software that looks at what a computer user has searched and uses this information to get into a computer.
Adware:
Uses adverts to get into a computer and steals. It affects your computer by crashing and slowing it down.
